Your data in Elo

What is saved

Elo stores your account, résumé drafts and history, applications, contacts, code, practice results and progress in this installation’s database. Your password is stored as a hash.

When outside services are used

AI features send relevant text to the configured AI provider. Web research sends search context to the search provider. Profile-photo requests may send a public LinkedIn profile URL to SerpApi and load public images from LinkedIn’s image servers. Account email uses Resend when configured.

Opening Today does not generate AI advice. Review text before submitting it to an AI feature. Provider retention policies apply to data they receive.

Your controls

Use Account to download your data, end sessions, change your password or delete your account. Deletion removes owned records from the live database. Shared public-photo caches and provider-wide usage counters are not tied to your account. Downloaded exports and offline backups are separate copies controlled by their holder.

Leaderboard sharing is optional. You control it in your networking profile.

Encrypted backups are retained for up to 14 days under this installation’s backup policy. A deleted account may remain in those backups until they expire.
